Lucky is a male Macaque monkey (Macaca fascicularis or related species) of considerable strength and intelligence. He has been raised with a human‑centric protocol that includes bottle‑feeding every four hours during his first weeks, constant tactile stimulation, and exposure to a wide range of sounds, smells, and surfaces. This has made him extraordinarily confident, never fearful of strangers, and actively seeking interaction. He loves to climb, solve puzzle toys, and engage in interactive games. His weaning was gradual, moving from formula to semi‑solid mashes, then to solid foods. Today his diet includes bananas, apples, oranges, grapes, carrots, green beans, walnuts, pecans, and a nutritionally complete primate pellet. Fresh water is available at all times.

Training and behaviour
Lucky knows his name and comes when called. He voluntarily enters his travel crate and accepts a harness. He uses a designated toilet area and is clean. He has learned to “sit”, “stay”, and “give paw” through positive reinforcement. He is not destructive when provided with appropriate toys. He is vocal and uses a range of sounds to communicate hunger, playfulness, or a desire for attention. He has been socialised with children (aged 7 and above, due to his size and strength) and with other pets, including large calm dogs.

Socialisation
Lucky has lived with another male Macaque and a dog. He is somewhat territorial but has learned to share space with proper introduction.
