Kayla is a female Macaque monkey of elegant build, with a particularly sweet and patient personality. She has been hand‑raised with a protocol that includes constant human contact, bottle‑feeding, and early exposure to a variety of stimuli. This has made her extremely trusting and outgoing. She loves to sit on shoulders, be groomed, and play gently with soft toys. Her diet includes bananas, apples, pears, carrots, cucumber, walnuts, almonds, and a nutritionally complete primate pellet. She drinks from a water bottle and is very neat.

Training and behaviour
Kayla responds to her name and comes when called. She voluntarily enters her travel crate and accepts a harness without stress. She uses a designated toilet area and is extremely clean. She has learned to “give paw” and to “spin” for a treat. She is not destructive and has never damaged furniture. She is vocal but not loud, using soft chirps to communicate. She has been socialised with children (aged 6 and above) and with other pets, including calm dogs.

Socialisation
Kayla has lived with two other female Macaques and a cat. She is not territorial and is very tolerant of other animals. She enjoys foraging games and solving simple puzzles. She has been exposed to household noises (vacuum cleaner, doorbell, television) and does not startle easily.
